Thanks to Upcoming Horror Movies, we now have a new interview with Devon including new photos!
Interview with writer, Mitch Gould of "The Devil's Den"
Posted July 22 2006
Upcoming Horror Movies just released the first interview about the movie with writer, Mitch Gould. He discusses the film, stunts and oh yeah, the cast ;)
7 — So, who was the brilliant mind that hooked Kelly Hu, Ken Foree, and Devon Sawa into the project? And what roles do they play?
"Devon Sawa was actually the last one cast for the film. I didn't know him before and didn't even think of approaching him because, honestly, I didn't think we could afford him. It was the distributors who pushed us to send his people the script and said they would cover the costs. So I have to give IDT credit for thinking of Devon. As far as his work goes, I think you'll see in the final product that this films works because of him. As Quinn he shoulders the comedy in the film. If he was flat, or not funny, or not believable then the film just wouldn't come off right. I definitely hope to work with him again in the future (hint, hint)."
8 — I don't suppose you could possibly elaborate on the tasks of these lead characters?
To be honest I really don't want to say too much. Everyone has a story that gradually unfolds during the course of the film. Whatever I say now spoils things later on. Again, not that I want to be secretive, it’s just that I really want people to sit down for the first time and watch the film with a fresh eye. I want the surprises to be a surprise, and I really want everyone to enjoy the film.
11 — So, what's the status of the film right now?
It is completely finished and delivered to the distributors. I'm not quite sure what the plan is as far as when it is going out, that has to do with whatever the marketing department has planned. Right now everyone is thinking of sending it to a few horror film festivals, so we might spend a couple of months going the festival route before we get around to actually putting it out. I'm kind of torn. On the one hand I'm happy with the film and can't wait for it to be released to the public, on the other... I'm happy with the film and think it will do great in the festival (and being a stuntman I've still got that competitive urge in me) and would like to hit a few of those too. I guess either way I'll be happy so I'm just not gonna sweat it too much.

Andrew Quint is directing the film, which includes Kelly Hu (X-MEN 2) and Devon Sawa (FINAL DESTINATION). In the vein of FROM DUSK TILL DAWN, two young college boys stop at a seedy strip club called Devil’s Den on their way home from Mexico. Inside, beautiful enchanting dancers with perfect bodies surround them almost immediately. But in no time, the two realize that beauty is only skin deep." Full here.

"Shooting Gallery" / "Hunter's Moon": Update
Hunter's Moon is now complete and Fangoria gives us a little preview to what the movie is gonna be like. Devon quotes:
Sawa also acknowledges the cross-matching of subgenres in HUNTER’S MOON. “This is not so much horror as it is a psychological thriller with some sci-fi elements,” he states. “We’re not doing a Rob Zombie thing where we’re killing people right and left. But at the end of the day, this is a creature feature and it is going to scare people. If I didn’t think this was going to be good, I wouldn’t have done it. We’re doing something a little bit different, a little bit cooler.”
Also, The Shooting Gallery's movie poster is out! I will try and get a bigger poster image soon!
"Shooting Gallery" Update
Former Pool Hall Prophets title has changed to the new Shooting Gallery. The movie will be heading directly to video December 27. You can preorder the DVD here. The trailer is also out.

"Pool Hall Prophets" update
According to imdb.com, the movie is now set in post-production with still a release date of this year. A synopsis has been posted:
A street-smart pool player falls in with a pack of hustlers. As he rises in the underground circuit, he lands in the middle of a match between his boss and a crooked cop.
Devon cast in "Poolhall Prophets"
It seems as if Devon's long-awaited break has been over and he's back in the movie business starring as Paul in Poolhall Prophets.
This news was first brought to attention by someone at the IMDB.com website; however it has recently been confirmed if viewed. The poster at IMDB.com has said:
"I was on the set of his new movie "Poolhall Prophets" the other day that's being filmed in New Orleans and he has a really big part in it. He is still very good looking and he was so excited to be doing a movie because he said that he hasn't had any projects in like two years. I saw him film a scene where he gets into a car with a gun and he's sooo good!"
Synopsis: tale of a brilliant young pool player, Jericho Hughes, as he gets deeply involved in a desperate contest of wits between a veteran pool hustler and a psycho cop with a grudge.
Starring: Freddie Prinze Jr., Ving Rhames, Daniel Newman
This movie is currently filming and will have a release date in 2005.
Extreme Dating: direct-to-video
If you remember on the official extreme dating website, Franchise Pictures aquired worldwide rights to eXtreme dating, however; Franchise Pictures has recently gone through a $77 million dollar lawsuit. In term, this picture company is "liquidating and Warner Bros bought some of their unreleased projects," according to Rob and researching.
The conclusion here is that if Warner Entertainment was going to release Extreme Dating theatrically, it would have been listed as Warner Bros rather than Warner Home Video.
*thanks to Rob and Starshine forums for help! Also thanks to MPAA, the film has been given a rating of R for sexual content.
No word yet on the release date, but continue to come back to www.devonsawa.org for information on this upcoming release!

Devon prevails as Flash Thompson in Spider-Man
Devon will be acting using his voice this time, and who all doesn't love his voice? He will be playing the character of Flash Thompson, Spider-Man's rival. I found this information out from Comics Continuum. It says:
"At the Empire State University campus Flash Thompson (Devon Sawa) flaunts the fact to Mary Jane Watson (Lisa Loeb) that he doesn't have to study anymore because he has landed himself a tutor. What a surprise when Flash learns that his tutor is actually Dr. Zellner, who is actively testing his new 'smart drug' — the first subjects being Jack and Mack — with substantially impaired IQs."
I also found from MTV an even bigger synopsis on the whole episode:
After a high speed chase, Spider-Man thwarts a pair of daredevil bikers. They are released on bail, however, after arguing their case to the jury. Indy does some research for Peter and finds that theseup and down intellectual stunts are a pattern for these two-pulling off schemes that require mental prowess and screwing up with bonehead mistakes. Meanwhile, Peter's rival Flash Thompson tells MJ that he's going to a tutor to improve his grades, then shows up later physically depleted with a super intellect and a giant red welt on his neck. Turns out his "tutor" is a Dr. Zellner who is experimenting with a "smart drug". He's been using the Bikers and Flash as guinea pigs...read more.

No Trespass[ing] for Devon
It's been confirmed, or so the director of both SLC Punk and Trespass has said. I emailed him and asked him what's the deal with Devon not being in Trespass. I asked him if he was in it or not and this is what he replied with:
I'm sorry. As much as Devon and I are good friends and we wanted to do this film together, In the end, it didn't work out. I was hoping to go with more unknowns. Devon was in my film SLC PUNK. He went on to be pretty popular. I would like to do a film with him that is a little more sophisticated. I think he has done enough teen horror and he's too good to keep doing it.
Trespass — Devon in it or not?
This question confuses me. At first, Devon was seen starring in the movie and playing Mark, and now sources are saying that he's not in the movie. Looks as if he's being replaced by Daniel Gillies. You can see by heading over here. He's also not found anywhere on the page. Not to mention, the movie isn't even listed in Upcoming Movies.com from 2003-2007 or at all!

At the Internet Movie Database, Trespass has opened its doors! The release date in the United States has been set to October 31st 2003, a good time to release since it's going to be a horror film. Devon will be playing the character of Mark. Other things are there such as filming locations, tagline, production notes, etc.
Where his career is concerned, Canadian actor Devon Sawa accepts no limits
Sawa is going to produce as well as star in his next project, a horror film called Trespassing.
"James Merendino who directed me in SLC Punk! brought me the script for Trespassing and I decided I wanted to produce, as well as act.
"We want to do it in the style of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. We are just finalizing the financing and hope to begin shooting by mid-January."
Extreme Ops the anti-Oscar movie
Sawa's own extreme dating days are over — next year he'll marry his longtime girlfriend, an American makeup artist named Jessica.

No Destination for Devon returning in the sequel, Final Destination 2.
The lead in the first movie, Devon Sawa, who also played the crazed fan in Eminem's music video Stan is not to return for the sequel. His absence from the second film are down to money and Sawa and the producers couldn't agree a figure.
Rumoured Projects
Devon was rumoured to be in these, but nothing ever came of them!
Higher Limits
Smallville News is reporting that Kristin is supposedly starring in the independent film "Higher Limits." The movie will be filmed this summer and is scheduled for release in March 2003. "Higher Limits" co-stars Devon Sawa (Final Destination, Slackers) and Mila Kunis (That 70's Show, American Psycho 2). Stay tuned for confirmation and more details on this story.

Devon will not be in this movie anymore
Invisible Girl
This is the story of a girl (Rachael Leigh Cook) who never seems to be noticed until she uses herself as bait to capture a serial killer.
Synopsis #2: A young woman who has always been unnoticed by others falls in love with a bank robber suspected of murder and as the two lovers run from the law she finds herself in the media spotlight and discovers what it feels like to be the center of attention.
Side Notes: Over at Yahoo! Movies, they have a synopsis and one cast member which is Rachael Leigh Cook. On the other hand, over at Hollywood.com, under Devon Sawa's filmography, it says that he's an actor in the film 'Invisible Girl'.
Devon has also been heard as being casted in 'Chasing Holden', however, he was replaced by DJ Qualls.
